Fail-Safe Electric provided complete control-system solutions for the McNary Dam modernization on the Columbia River, delivering 13 custom control panels and consoles built to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers specifications.
The $1.26 million scope included design and fabrication of three operator control consoles (LS1, LS2, LS2BB), four valve control panels, four gate control panels, and two bascule bridge control panels for the north and south spans.
The project also encompassed VFD drive controllers (25HP and 20HP units), field devices including limit switches, encoders, and level transmitters, and a complete spare-parts package featuring PLC chassis, CPU modules, I/O modules, HMIs, managed switches, and programming laptops. All panels were built to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers specifications under Solicitation W912EF23B0011.
